There are a wide variety of contraception and sterilization options available for today’s women and the physicians at The Women’s Specialists of Fayette can inform you of all your options.
Reversible methods of contraception include barrier methods, (diaphragm or condoms), natural family planning (rhythm method), birth control pills, injectable contraceptives, implantable contraceptives (Implanon) and two types of intrauterine devices, the Mirena IUD and the Paraguard IUD. IUD’s are extremely effective and placed with a simple in office procedure. After placement, they provide low maintenance contraception for 5 to 10 years.
Sterilization or non reversible methods include laparoscopic tubal ligation or post partum tubal ligation, or Essure tubal occlusion. The Essure tubal occlusion procedure can be done in our office with light sedation. The in-office procedure is more convenient and significantly less expensive than a hospital outpatient procedure.
I like going here. I have never had a problem, but I have not been pregnant before. I go in for routine check ups and other problems. Dr. Carter is great. I haven't seen any other doctors.
I love two of the doctors here so much. Cook and Carter are absolutely the best there are - great bedside manner. They listen and have been great with me for 12 years. Have never had an issue with the office staff. Everyone has been nice
I loved all the doctors there. Dr. Carter was my favorite. She also delivered my son. No long wait times and great customer service. I would recommend this practice to all expecting mothers.
